Origin: a home of pure lines, with an approachable soul
This project began with a client’s wish to live in a home that was truly singular, built from pure lines, capable of conveying serenity without giving up a warm, approachable character. From the first sketch, we understood the house as a piece that needed to engage in dialogue with its landscape, avoiding anything showy and aiming instead for a quiet presence that could still move you day to day. That duality, rigour and warmth, guides every decision in the project.
What makes it special
The home is designed with a refined, minimalist geometry, adapting to the plot through a polygonal floor plan. The angle of the facade pergolas draws people through the spaces and out toward the landscape, turning the architecture itself into a frame that directs the eye to the horizon. In that sense, the house becomes a genuine window onto its surroundings.
Concept and singular structural technique
We wanted the house to carry the feel of complex engineering: wide column-free spans, slabs with minimal depth, and glazing that disappears to erase the threshold between indoors and out. The result is a clean spatial continuity, where boundaries dissolve and the landscape enters the home naturally.
The house’s structure is conceived as a continuous shell held up by the fewest possible intermediate supports, letting the planes appear to float. This structural logic, built into the project from the very start, produces architecture distinct from its surroundings: light in appearance, yet the result of precise decisions that make that sense of simplicity and suspension possible.
Materiality with restrained warmth
The palette is essential and tactile: continuous surfaces, wood at points of contact, high-performance joinery and stone in key areas. We were after a restrained warmth that balances the geometric precision, surfaces that reflect light softly and textures that invite touch. The house isn’t just looked at, it’s walked through, touched, lived in.
Quiet sustainability
Passive strategy, orientation, pergola overhangs, cross ventilation, together with a high-performance envelope, reduce energy demand without putting on a show. The technology is there, but it stays in the background so the experience of the space remains the main thing.

At Loto Arquitectos, we see every project as a chance to explore the relationship between people, architecture and place. With this home, our intention went beyond simply resolving the brief functionally: we wanted to create a space that moves people, that engages with the landscape, and that turns everyday life into something extraordinary.
Our approach is about refining form down to its essentials, letting geometry, light and structure speak for themselves. We’re interested in architecture that isn’t just seen but walked through, that invites you to look, to pause, to discover new perspectives. That’s why every gesture, from the polygonal plan to the angle of the pergolas, is designed to support that experience and deepen the relationship with the horizon.
In the same way, we treat structure as a fundamental part of the architectural language. The apparent formal simplicity is the result of precise technical decisions: wide column-free spans, shallow slab depths and openings that dissolve to merge indoors and out. Bringing engineering and architecture together isn’t a device, it’s how we understand the project as a coherent, honest and contemporary whole.
Ultimately, our vision is for architecture that’s minimalist yet warm, technically rigorous yet emotionally close, architecture that, without ever raising its voice, makes every space mean something and connect deeply with the people who live in it.
A collaboration built on a shared vision
This project came to life through a close collaboration between Loto Arquitectos and Blues Simon Group. We work from the same language: technical precision, elegant restraint and respect for the landscape. While Loto Arquitectos defined the concept, geometry and structure that make this home unique, Blues Simon Group brought flawless execution, quality control and on-site craftsmanship, so that every detail, from the column-free spans to the disappearing glazing, was built with the fidelity and rigour the idea demanded.
We share the conviction that minimalist architecture is only genuine when technique and emotion move forward together. That’s why every decision was weighed jointly, from structural calculations to material choices, to guarantee a result that’s coherent, timeless and deeply Mediterranean.
