In 2014, Blues Simon Group began the works for construction of the Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, for Spain and Portugal, sponsored by the Orthodox Episcopate.
This project is composed of 2 buildings, a building destined for a Social Center, and the Temple or Cathedral with the shape of a Latin cross inside and a verticality that fuses the spirituality of the building, with the smart use of the land on which it is located.
The temple distills an architecture that combines the current construction methods such as reinforced concrete structure, with the formation of domes and vaults of handmade brick, with ancestral lime plasters, according to the experience of centuries of the Romanian Churches.
The project has been drawn up by the Architectural Dispatch of Mr. Fernando Boga Gonzalez, it has a budget of about 6 million Euros and covers an area of 5094 m2. This project responds to the wide community of Romanians living in Spain and Portugal, which will fill this place of worship intended for “The Blessed Virgin Mary”.
For its development, Blues Simon Group has formed a team with its best staff, providing them with all the necessary equipment, the auxiliary and technical means, and leaning when necessary, in the leading companies of facilities.
At present, the phase of work it is well advanced with the structure, pending to finish the cover vaults and to start the façade cladding.
This work represents for Blues Simon Group, a strengthening and specialization in “unique” projects, destined to the Church, in which we are acquiring a consolidated experience, and of which we are very proud!
